Fiscal Notes

Estimated Two-year Net Impact to General Revenue Related Funds for HB2038, Committee Report 1st House, Substituted: a negative impact of ($1,529,526) through the biennium ending August 31, 2015. The bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions of the bill.

Bill Analysis

Summary: HB 2038 would extend and expand the Center for Elimination of Disproportionality and Disparities as well as the Interagency Council for Addressing Disproportionality.

Analysis: Extending and expanding these programs would cost the state $1.5 million. Allowing these programs to expire would decrease the cost of government, therefore we oppose the bill.
