Summary: HB 2004 would postpone an assessment for a student with limited English proficiency if the student has been enrolled in a United States public school for less than 60 days. Furthermore, a student with limited English proficiency who has been enrolled in a public school for two years or less and does not perform well on an exam, their assessment would not be factored into their school's rating.
