Bill Analysis

SCR 4 would resolve the 87th Legislature to expresses its support for the Future Vertical Lift Program, including the Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft and Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft, as part of the U.S. Army modernization plan and to expresses the support for fully funding this program. 

It would further resolve that the Texas Secretary of State forward official copies of this resolution to the members of the Texas delegation to Congress as an expression of the sentiment of the Texas Legislature. 

Vote Recommendation Notes

Texas Action is neutral for SCR 4 as no liberty principles are directly impacted. We do acknowledge it is within the proper function of government to provide for the national defense and that states have a role in achieving that goal in partnership with the federal government.
