System of a multi-institution center in the city of Laredo.
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
SB 884 would re-designate The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio campus extension in Laredo as the University of Texas System Multi-Institution Center in the city of Laredo.
By re-designating this campus as a multi-institution center and operating it at the system level rather than as a campus extension, additional institutions would be able to use the facilities. Texas Action is neutral toward SB 884 as it does not directly apply to our liberty principles.
