Relating to recovery of attorney's fees in certain civil cases.
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
SB 808 would allow a person to recover attorney's fees from any other person in certain civil claims, rather than only an individual or corporation. The new language would include any corporation, organization, government entity, business trust, partnership, or other legal entity that is a party to the claim.
Texas Action is neutral on SB 808 because it does not affect our Liberty Principles.
