SB 790 would allow counties to consider a health benefit plan payment toward a claim for air ambulance services provided by the county as payment in full for those services. The bill would prohibit counties from charging an enrollee in a health benefit plan to recover costs if it chooses to consider a payment towards a claim for air ambulance services.
Because SB 790 is permissive, allowing a county to choose to accept certain payments for air ambulance services and does not make any insurance mandates, Texas Action remains neutral.
