Relating to certain reports created by the Texas Water Development Board.
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
SB 669 would abolish the requirement for the Texas Water Development Board to submit a biennial report on water usage and a report on repair and maintenance of certain dams to the legislature. Instead, the bill would require that the most recent data be made publicly available.
Texas Action supports SB 669 which upholds our limited government principle by eliminating an unnecessary and redundant reporting requirement. The reporting requirement which the bill would eliminate is no longer necessary because the data contained in the report is generally already made available online by the TWDB.
