Relating to the provision of solid waste disposal services by certain counties; authorizing a fee.
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
SB 594 would authorize the Hidalgo County Commissioners Court to establish a mandatory solid waste disposal program to provide waste services to certain colonias within the county. The bill would allow a service fee to be implemented to fund the program.
Due to the local and limited nature of this bill, Texas Action remains neutral on SB 594.
