Relating to the civil penalty for certain signs placed on the right-of-way of a public road.
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
SB 355 would increase the penalty for a person who places, commissions the placement of,
or whose commercial advertisement is placed on a sign on the
right-of-way of a public road and who did not receive prior authorization for the placement of the sign. The first offense would be $1000, the second, $5000, and the third offense would be $10,000.
