SB 347 would make local school health advisory councils subject to the Texas Public Information Act and Texas Open Meetings Act to provide a more transparent process when creating the health education curriculum considered by school districts.
Texas Action supports SB 347 which uplifts our limited government and individual liberty principles. This bill would add transparency to the process through which local school districts adopt health curriculums, giving parents information they can use to make more effective decisions about their childrens' education.
