SB 19 would prohibit any government entity from entering into a contract with a private business which discriminates against the firearm industry.
Texas Action supports SB 19 on the principles of individual liberty and limited government. The firearm industry is unique in that it provides access to a constitutionally protected right. As such, the government ought to have no part in aiding private efforts to restrict access to firearms by entering into contracts with such entities.
