No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
SB 1339 would permit an attorney who serves as the head of the civil legal department for a county on the Mexican border with less than 400,000 people and one or more cities with more than 200,000 people to seek a written opinion from the Attorney General on an action to which the state is a party. This attorney would have to receive approval for the request from their county commissioner's court.
