Establishing an America 250 state commission.
HCR 60 would create an America 250 state commission to work jointly with the federal America 250 commission to help celebrate the semiquincentennial of the United States, also known as the 250 year anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
Celebrating 250 years of liberty is certainly a good thing. The creation of this commission for the purposes of facilitating such a celebration does not affect our liberty principles.
