HB 786 would require all 9-1-1 dispatchers in the state to be trained in giving CPR instructions over the phone.
Texas Action opposes HB 786 on the principle of limited government. While we do want to help police departments save lives in their communities, we believe this is an issue to be handled by individual departments rather than mandating this state-wide.
