teaching institutions.
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
HB 4383 would require any general academic teaching institution that offers a fixed tuition rate program to provide information explaining the effect of the program on the calculation of a student’s cost per credit hour, clearly describing the amount of tuition a student would pay for varying course loads covered by the program.
Texas Action supports HB 4383 on the principle of individual liberty. Allowing students to access this information greatly aids their decision making process in choosing courses to take.
