Relating to health benefit plan coverage for ovarian cancer testing and screening
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
HB 428 would expand the minimum coverage requirements for insurance to include any test or screening approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration for the detection of ovarian cancer.
Texas Action opposes HB 428 because it creates new state mandates on private enterprise in violation of our limited government and free market principles.
