HB 404 would modify the continuing education requirements for maintaining a license to practice cosmetology. If this bill passes, the continuing education programs would have to include information on identifying sexual assault and domestic violence.
HB 404 violates our individual liberty, free market and limited government principles by mandating additional training requirements for applicants for an occupational license. Texas Action opposes HB 404.
