Relating to the issuance of a temporary license for an assisted living facility that has a corporate change in ownership.
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
HB 2867 would require the Health and Human Services Commission to automatically issue a temporary license to an existing assisted living facility following a change in ownership. The bill would allow the temporary license to be issued without first conducting an inspection if the commission determines that an inspection is not necessary.
HB 2867 supports limited government and individual liberty by making it somewhat easier to for a new owner of an assisted living facility to secure licensure.
