Relating to the establishment and administration of the Texas
Woman’s University System.
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
Currently, Texas Woman's University is based in Denton with satellite campuses in Dallas and Houston.
HB 2705 would update Texas Woman’s University to become a university system with three separate institutions; Texas Women's University, Texas Woman's University at Dallas, and Texas Woman's University at Houston. Each campus in the system would be governed by the same board of regents.
Texas Action is neutral toward HB 2705.
