Relating to the participation and reimbursement of certain military medical treatment facilities and affiliated health care providers under Medicaid.
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
HB 2365 would require a military medical treatment facility that is designated as a Level 1 trauma center to be considered a provider under Medicaid for purposes of providing and receiving reimbursement for inpatient emergency services and related outpatient services. HB 2365 would prevent the Health and Human Services Commission from imposing a requirement that limits the period of time an injured Medicaid recipient may receive emergency services from a military medical treatment facility.
