HB 2201 requires the Railroad Commission of Texas to create standards governing allowed locations for pits used by commercial oil and gas disposal facilities. The rules must include
a history of flooding in the past 10 years as a factor in determining whether a proposed location of a
pit is permissible.
Texas Action is neutral on HB 2201 as this does not impact our liberty principles.
