Relating to the performance of pest control work by persons who hold a commercial or noncommercial applicator license issued by the Department of Agriculture.
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
HB 1070 would allow an unlicensed person to perform certain pest control work if that person operates under the direct supervision of someone who is appropriately licensed.
Texas Action supports HB 1070 which uplifts individual liberty and limited government by allowing unlicensed individuals to engage in pest control work in certain circumstances. This will make it easier for licensed individuals to hire workers, and make it easier for people to gain employment without going through the process of licensure.
