Bill Analysis

HB 1012 would revise certain processes related to a person applying with a court to retrieve personal property from a residence or former residence, and add to the list of items for which an application is necessary. The bill would also stipulate that in a case involving the dissolution of a marriage, the court hearing the dissolution of marriage case would have exclusive jurisdiction over access to a residence or former residence to retrieve personal property.
