Relating to the location of certain temporary branch early voting
polling places.
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
SB 966 would update practices related to early voting movable branch polling places for counties with a population of 100,000 or more. Under the provisions of this bill in qualifying counties an early voting movable branch may only be changed once during the early voting period and only after the early voting period is at least halfway over.
It is within the proper scope of government for the legislature to set requirements related to early voting. This legislation does not appear to affect our principles and we remain neutral.
