Relating to the evaluation of applications for certain financial assistance administered by the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs.
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
Under current law, it is incumbent upon the developer of a housing project to submit an application for housing tax credits.
SB 545 would amend Government Code to require the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs to provide documentation that includes the application for a housing tax credit. Applications in this process would be grouped in a scoring system and also include the financial plans for the project.
