Relating to the availability of certain information regarding the members of the governing body of an independent school district or a public junior college district on the district's Internet website.
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
SB 2206 would require each school district to post on its website the name, email address, and term of office of each member of the district's board of trustees. If a school district does not maintain a website, it would be required to submit the information to the Texas Education Agency (TEA) which will then publish the information on its website. Junior college districts would be held to the same requirements.
