Bill Analysis

SB 2060 would require appraisal districts to include a brief explanation to property owners of each tax exemption that is available to a disabled veteran or the veteran's surviving spouse or child; an individual who is 65 years of age or older or the surviving spouse; an individual who is disabled or the surviving spouse; the surviving spouse of a member of the armed services who was killed in action; or the surviving spouse of a first responder who was killed or fatally injured in the line of duty.
