Relating to payment of costs related to the relocation of certain
political subdivision utility facilities for state highway
projects.
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
SB 1512 would require the state to assume the cost of relocating a utility facility required to be moved due to an improvement to a state highway if it is determined that the utility is owned by a political subdivision and is unable to pay the cost of relocation.
Texas Action remains neutral on SB 1512 as it does not affect our liberty principles.
