SB 1390 would require school districts to include mental health and suicide prevention as part as their enrichment curriculum. Essential knowledge and skills in the health curriculum would include the relationship between drugs and alcohol to suicide, recognizing signs of suicide, and help-seeking behaviors and community suicide prevention services.
