Relating to open meetings of the governing body of a charter holder and the governing body of an open-enrollment charter school.
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
HB 570 would require the governing body of a charter holder for an open-enrollment charter school, and the governing body of a charter school, to hold each open meeting in the geographical area served by the school and broadcast the open meeting over the Internet if the school includes campuses that are located in non-contiguous municipalities.
This bill enhances our limited government principle by increasing the transparency of the governing body of an open-enrollment charter. We support HB 570.
