Relating to a study on the number of active releasees on a parole officer's caseload.
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
HB 4754 would require The Texas Department of Criminal Justice to conduct a study on the average number of active releasees on a parole officer's caseload and whether the department is accurately assessing the number of active releasees on a parole officer’s caseload in order to ensure that the department has adequate funding to employ enough parole officers and that officers are not overworked based on the number of active releasees on their caseload.
Texas Action is neutral on HB 4754 as it doesn't affect our liberty principles.
