Relating to the authority of the Near Northside Management District
to impose a sales and use tax.
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
HB 4748 would allow the Near Northside Management District to impose a sales tax upon approval by voters at an election held in the district.
We are oppose HB 4748 which would allow a management district (which we oppose in the first place) to impose a sales tax. This is out of alignment with limited government.
