Relating to the creation and operations of health care provider
participation programs in certain counties.
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
HB 4548 would allow a bracketed county to participate in a health care provider participation program to collect mandatory payments based on paying hospital net patient revenue to provide the nonfederal share of a Medicaid supplemental payment program.
Texas Action remains neutral on HB 4548 as it does not affect our liberty principles. Since this is largely a local issue that does not increase the cost of government or public debt, we are neutral on this legislation.
