Relating to the use of unmanned aircraft.
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
HB 4448 would revise the conduct constituting an offense of operating an unmanned aircraft over certain facilities to include operating an aircraft over a sports venue, and would repeal the statutory provision that established the separate offense regarding a sports venue. This bill would expand the lawful capture of images from a drone to include images captured for the purpose of delivery of commercial goods and images captured by state and local agencies for certain investigative purposes.
Texas Action remains neutral on HB 4448 because it does not affect our liberty principles.
