Bill Analysis

Under current law, governmental entities are required to publish certain notices in newspapers. The purpose of this is to increase transparency in government by making sure that government entities do not take certain actions without the public having an opportunity to know in advance. 

HB 3759 would update some of the specific requirements governing these notices to give smaller communities more flexibility in choosing an appropriate newspaper to publish notices in.
