Relating to the creation and operations of health care provider
participation programs in certain counties.
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
HB 3679 would allow Wichita County to participate in a health care provider participation program, the purpose of which is to generate revenue by collecting from institutional health care providers a mandatory payment to be used to provide the nonfederal share of a Medicaid supplemental payment program.
Texas Action remains neutral on HB 3679 as it does not affect our liberty principles. Since this is largely a local issue that does not increase the cost of government or public debt, we are neutral on this legislation.
