Bill Analysis

HB 3459 would allow the board of trustees of the Harris County Hospital District to authorize the district to participate in a health care provider participation program to collect mandatory payments based on paying hospital net patient revenue to provide the nonfederal share of a Medicaid supplemental payment program.

Vote Recommendation Notes

Texas Action remains neutral on HB 3459 as it does not affect our liberty principles. Since this is largely a local issue that does not increase the cost of government or public debt, we are neutral on this legislation.
