Relating to the confidentiality of certain registered voters.
HB 3100 would amend Section 13.004(c), Election Code, to expand confidentiality of the residential address of the spouse of a peace officer. This would ensure that the address is not made publicly available through voter registration information.
Texas Action remains neutral on HB 3100 because it does not affect our liberty principles, although it seems like good policy to ensure the safety of peace officers and their families.
