Relating to the requirement that a state agency or political
subdivision with authority to impose a tax post certain information
on an Internet website.
HB 305 would require any state agency or political subdivision with the ability to impose a tax to post a variety of information about the entity on the Internet, including contact information, elected officers, candidates for election, the date of the next election and notices/records of meetings.
This bill supports limited government and individual liberty by requiring more transparency of taxing authorities. Texas Action supports HB 305.
