Relating to the fiscal transparency of special purpose districts
and other political subdivisions.
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
HB 3001 would exempt certain special purpose districts from duplicative reporting requirements regarding debt obligations.
To the extent that this bill would make affected special purpose districts somewhat more efficient and less costly to taxpayers by reducing duplicative reporting requirements, this bill is in alignment with the principle of limited government. For this reason we support HB 3001.
