services.
The services and costs for the services that agencies would select to directly provision through
cloud service providers is unknown. The fiscal implications of the bill cannot be determined at
this time.
HB 2884 would authorize state agencies to contract with a cloud computing service provider for certain information resources technology and software application services, or to use a statewide technology center for those services (as is currently required).
Texas Action is neutral on HB 2884 because it does not affect our liberty principles.
