Relating to an audit of health care providers in the Healthy Texas Women program.
According to the Legislative Budget Board, no fiscal implication to the state is anticipated.
HB 2742 would require the Health and Human Services Commission to conduct an audit every six months of each health care provider listed as participating in the Healthy Texas Women program to determine whether the provider: (1) is participating in the program and has accurate contact information listed; and (2) make updates to the program provider list to "facilitate women’s access to the program’s health care services."
Without commenting on the underlying program, nothing about HB 2742 affects our liberty principles and we remain neutral.
