Bill Analysis

HB 2594 would amend Chapter 142, Health and Safety Code, by adding Subchapter C which relates to the creation of policies and procedures regarding the disposal of a patient’s unused prescription drugs in certain circumstances. HB 2594 would allow for the proper disposal of drugs in the event of a patient's death or if the drugs have expired. This bill is specifically relating to controlled substances.
