Relating to a prohibition on bids by certain insurance and health
benefit providers to administer or provide coverage under certain
group benefit plans for governmental employees.
No fiscal impact to the state is anticipated.
HB 2367 prohibits a health insurer or health care provider from submitting a bid for group benefit plans for governmental employees for two competitive bidding cycles if the insurer or provider has terminated a contract with a physician because the physician informed an enrollee of their full range of options, including out of network providers.
Texas Action is neutral on HB 2367 because it does not affect our liberty principles.
