Relating to the authority of the attorney general to advertise Choose Life account grants.
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
HB 2271 would allow the attorney general to advertise that fees paid for the issuance of a "Choose Life" license plate may be used to fund grants under the Choose Life account. Money spent on advertising may not exceed two percent of the amount of gross receipts deposited to the account during the preceding state fiscal year.
Texas Action is neutral on HB 2271 because it neither advances nor hinders any of our liberty principles.
