HB 1833 would allow certain domestic or foreign entities to execute and record an affidavit identifying one or more individuals authorized to transfer real property on behalf of the entity. The bill prescribes the information that must be contained in the affidavit.
Texas Action recommends supporting HB 1833 as a promotion of the principle of property rights by creating a process that provides greater certainty about the validity of real property transactions by the entities covered by this legislation.
