No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. 

Bill Analysis

HB 1725 would authorize the governor to place on retired status an officer or enlisted service member of the Texas State Guard (TSG) who on separation from TSG: (1) is physically disabled as a result of service; or (2) has served the federal or state military satisfactorily for at least 20 years, with at least 5 years of service in TSG. The governor would be authorized to advance the service member one grade or rank at the time of the transfer to retired status.
