Relating to the terms and election of the members of the board of directors of the Elk Watershed Authority.
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
HB 1537 would amend current law to change the Elm Creek Watershed Authority's board elections to staggered, four-year terms to be held on the uniform election date of each odd-numbered year.
Texas Action remains neutral on HB 1537 as it does not affect our liberty principles.
