Bill Caption

Relating to a notification requirement if a public school, including an open-enrollment charter school, does not have a nurse assigned to the school during all instructional hours.

Fiscal Notes

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Bill Analysis

HB 1517 would require school districts with an enrollment of more than 10,000 students to give notice to parents if there is no full-time nurse at the school for 30 consecutive days. This would not apply if a school district employs more than one part-time nurse to cover a full school day.

Vote Recommendation Notes
