Relating to the distribution of benefits under the supplemental nutrition assistance program.
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
HB 1218 would require the Executive Commissioner of the Health and Human Service Commission to establish a schedule for the distribution of benefits for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). This schedule would include monitoring the even distribution of benefits each month, which would cover a 28-day period.
This bill neither hinders nor advances our liberty principles, therefore, Texas Action remains neutral on HB 1218.
